The beauty of the National Parks in the United States are one of the few things most Americans can agree on today. However, did you know that there was a chance we would never have a national park system at all? Were it not for some key decisions by a few people, the entire system of parks, monuments, trails, and more would simply not exist. In today's episode we'll cover what a national park is in the United States, how they came to be, how parks are created, and why we love them so very much.
One of my classmates in elementary school, his dad was pretty much in charge or something of our local National Historic Park (which is a designation you guys skipped over) in that period of time
